- The FINIS Rival Jammer is an elite-level technical racing suit designed using three main principles: compression, robust seam structure and fit. We used these fundamentals to bring an authentic tech suit to market and provide our athletes with a product that is backed up by research and innovation. The FINIS Rival is constructed using two fabrics: the one-way stretch fabric increases compression, while the two-way stretch fabric allows optimal range of motion. The combination of the two fabrics supports muscles and enables muscle efficiency. Seams are strategically placed to strengthen the bond between fabrics and enhance compression in adjacent areas. Designed in California at the FINIS Stroke Lab.
FEATURES & BENEFITS
- LOCKED IN BODY POSITION
Innovative seam pattern wraps from the front of the hips to the back, locking the swimmer into optimal body position
- ABDOMINAL SYSTEM
3 panel system allows movement/breathing room and core compression
- COMPRESSION IN THE RIGHT AREAS
Compression placed in areas to conform and streamline the body, thus reducing drag
- EVERY SEAM HAS A REASON
Seams are placed to complement and strengthen the fabrics, while enhancing compression in adjacent areas
- ONE-WAY STRETCH FABRIC
Focuses on compression by tightening the flatter areas of the body, such as the inner thighs
- TWO-WAY STRETCH FABRIC
Focuses on flexibility by supporting the curved areas of the body, such as the hips and chest
- ENABLES MUSCLE EFFICIENCY
Constructed to allow muscles to properly extend and contract
- WATER REPELLENCY
A hydrophobic coating is applied and creates that cool "water beading effect" we all love
- COMPRESSIVE DUAL-PANELING
Features a unique liner fabric – each panel is customized to match the stretch characteristics of the outer fabric
- DESIGNED IN CALIFORNIA
FINA Approved
TRYING ON THE SUIT
- WARNING: Do not put the suit on with long nails! Make sure your nails are trimmed and filed. Sharp edges will snag and tear the suit fabric (this is not covered under the manufacturer’s warranty).
- Make sure both you and the suit are completely dry before trying it on.
- Flip the silicone grips on the legs upward and flip the waist downward to make it easier to slide the suit up your legs.
- Use the pads of your fingers to pull the suit up; fingernails can easily tear the fabric.
- Always pull on or near the seams, where the fabric is strongest.
- Most important: Pull the suit fully up the legs and snug it into the crotch area before pulling it over the hips. This prevents air or water pockets and ensures the best fit for the rest of your body.
- With the waist still flipped down, make sure the drawstrings are not crossed. Pull the strings outward, tie a bow, and flip the waist back up.
- The suit should feel like a second skin, with little to no “give” when trying to pull the fabric away from your body.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
1. Rinse immediately after each use with cool, non-chlorinated water.
2. Do not use in the shower, soaps will deteriorate the fabric.
3. Lay flat to dry; do not use any type of dryer.
4. Store in a cool dry environment.
5. The more the suit is put on and taken off will cause the fabric to wear out.
6. Follow the instructions provided on the suit’s care label.
